PROPERTIES & ADVANTAGES – Fire Retardant Latex is specially formulated to apply on wood to retard the spread of fire on painted surfaces. During a fire, the specific agent present in the paint decomposes to form gaseous products that bubble through the hot paint film, forming an insulating foam that acts as a heat-insulating barrier to protect the wood.

SPREADING RATE – 800 sq. ft. at 1 mil dry film thickness

DRYING TIME – 30 minutes tack free 2-4 hours dry

VISCOSITY – 60 – 75 KU

THINNING – Water

SURFACE PREPARATION – Surface should be clean, dry and free of loose scaly paint.
